FELINE HEALTH RESOURCES

Are you curious about the causes and treatments of feline illnesses? Has your own cat been diagnosed with a condition and you want to know more about it? Here is a place to start.

This list of Feline Health resources, compiled over several years, is like a growing organism, constantly expanding and evolving. The list covers more than 100 topics, which are alphabetized and cross-referenced, to make it easier to locate a subject.

Since the content is so vast and varied, and research and discovery into feline health is also a constantly changing environment, we would be most grateful for any useful information about articles or websites to include. If there are links or websites that no longer exist, we would also appreciate being alerted so we can keep this resource fresh and current. Please contact us and let us know!

PLEASE NOTE: This list, originally compiled by the Internet Cat Club (a former CFA cat club) is strictly for educational and informational purposes. We cannot control the information contained in the linked sites and that information may change frequently. We are also not endorsing the ideas or information on these sites and in these papers - we are simply providing these links as a courtesy and as a starting point for finding information. So please use this resource in the spirit with which it was intended.

As always, your veterinarian is your best source for information about your cat and its health. Please consult your veterinary professional if your cat is ill or has changes in behavior.

Published scientific articles are occasionally listed, and these may possibly be found at local veterinary college libraries or with the help of your veterinarian. The year of the publication is included in each listing and it should be noted that more current information may now be available. If we have found an online abstract of a published scientific article, we have included the link.

We strongly recommend that you visit and support the following organizations that are dedicated to feline health and research:

RECOMMENDED BOOKS and NEWSLETTERS
